Der Entwickler von Crysis 3 The Lost Island CD Key ist Crytek, ein deutscher Spieleentwickler und Electronic Arts sein Verleger. Es handelt sich um ein Shooter-Videospiel, das aus der Ego-Perspektive gespielt wird. Es gehört zur 2011 eingeführten "Crysis"-Serie und ist der dritte Teil, der auf der CryEngine 3 Spiel-Engine läuft. Offiziell angekündigt am 16. April 2012, wurde das Spiel am 19. Februar 2013 in Nordamerika veröffentlicht.
Das Spiel handelt von einem Nanosuit-Träger namens Prophet, dessen Mission es ist, sich an dem Anführer der Ceph-Alienrasse namens "Alpha Ceph" und der CELL Corporation zu rächen. "Crysis Warheads" Hauptprotagonist Psycho begleitet Prophet bei seiner Mission und wird von der KI gesteuert. Die Handlung des Spiels ist der Abschluss der Crysis-Trilogie. Mit diesem Teil wurden neue Gameplay-Funktionen eingeführt, darunter die Hacking-Funktion und ein neuer Compound-Bogen sowie Rip and Throw, ein asymmetrischer Multiplayer-Modus namens 'Hunter' und die Nanosuit-Fähigkeit. Das Spiel wurde bei seiner Veröffentlichung von den Kritikern positiv aufgenommen und sein Leveldesign, der Mehrspielermodus und die Grafik wurden gelobt. Das Spiel hatte auch mehrere Preise gewonnen, bevor es für die Öffentlichkeit freigegeben wurde. Kommerziell konnte es jedoch die Erwartungen des Unternehmens nicht erfüllen.

Beautiful maps with a great sense of nostalgia from the first game in the series. Major downside though is that with an already tiny community, very few players will be playing this DLC making it very hard to find anywhere to play.
